- Provide care and review of day case patients in the new Oncology / Haematology Day Unit at the Hospital of St Cross (Rugby).
- See patients, in liaison with the consultants, within the clinics.
- Perform booked procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and tunnelled CVC removal (training will be given).
- Work for part of the working week in Day Units and clinics on the University Hospital (Coventry) site.
- Work closely with nursing staff in the Day Unit at St Cross and elsewhere within the Specialties to provide seamless care to patients.
- Liaise and work with allied health professionals and technical staff, other departments and wider members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a site specialised, evidence-based service, treating according to departmental protocols.
- Under the supervision of consultant colleagues, contribute to the supervision of more junior medical staff where appropriate.
- Contribute fully to audit, governance and risk management structures within the Specialties, including participating in audit related to their area of clinical interest.
- Attend specified multidisciplinary meetings (in person or remotely) to present patients and enable personal development.
- Meet the national requirements for Continuing Professional Development and Revalidation and fully engage with the Trust appraisal process.

This fixed term post is based in the newly developed Oncology and Haematology Day Unit and Outpatient Facility at the Hospital of St Cross at Rugby, and in the Departments of Oncology and Haematology at University Hospital in Coventry.
The post holder will be expected to split their working week between Rugby and Coventry in line with the needs of the service and in order to integrate themselves fully into the clinical team, with access to governance and educational sessions which are primarily on the University Hospital (Coventry) site.
