Junior GIS Analyst Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: Remote
The Junior GIS Analyst role is focused on supporting geospatial data management and basic GIS analysis. Key responsibilities include creating, editing, and managing spatial data; performing data searches and curation; and assisting in map creation, cartography, and online dashboard development.
Responsibilities:
- Support spatial data creation, editing, and management.
- Support data searching and data curation
- Assist with basic GIS analysis and map creation (including cartographic tasks).
- Assist with building online dashboards
- Collaborate with senior team members on projects using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Perform data quality assurance tasks.
- Help maintain geospatial datasets and perform routine data processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
- Familiarity with GIS software and basic geospatial concepts.
- Familiarity with both, raster and vector datasets
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with both raster and vector data.
- Understanding of geospatial databases (PostGIS, PostgreSQL) is a plus.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
