      Job Description

      This is what you do as a Investment Manager ODD

      You will be responsible for understanding the operational set-up under which the external fund managers, selected by the multimanager team, are implementing their strategy and for reviewing operational risks. As an Investment Manager ODD you will be responsible for performing ODD analysis on managers which are selected by the Multi Management team, monitoring and performing Client Due Diligence screening of existing managers in the portfolio. You are a pro-active with a hands on mentality and a quick learner, you work accurately and diligently and you are detail-oriented. You have strong interpersonal skills, are able to convince and able to learn from others. If you recognize yourself in this description, you may just be our next Junior Investment Manager ODD!

      The Investment Manager ODD will work alongside a Senior Investment Manager ODD.

      The responsibilities for the role will include:

      • Conduct operational due diligence on candidate funds and managers and other investment partners, including: Management company’s business operating model, organization, alignment of interest and/or legal structure, regulatory and compliance processes, trading, trade processing, trade reconciliation processes, IT systems & cybersecurity, management reputation risk, perform reference checks, fund valuation processes, fund administration, internal control, candidate fund’s third-party service providers
      • Conduct Client Due Diligence on candidate funds and managers and other investment partners
      • Writing operational due diligence reports
      • Review funds and managers audited financial statements and ISAE 3402, ISAE 3000 or SOC1 reports
      • Keep up to date with changes to regulations and new regulations and assess weather this will impact the ODD process
      • Contribute to independent research in relation to ODD
      • Provide accurate and appropriate management information to Senior Management

      Who will be your new colleagues?
      The Multi Management team consists of a total of 22 people and manages over 100 external managers and 171 strategies with approximately 30 bn AuM. The team is split in several sub-teams including Listed Securities, Private Markets, Real Assets, Indirect Real Estate, Private Debt and Operational due Diligence (ODD).

      The team works from Groningen, London and The Hague. Working partly from home is also possible.

      We are looking to expand the ODD team with anInvestment Manager ODD, working alongside the Senior Investment Manager ODD manager and the team heads of the investment teams, reporting into the CIO Multi-Management.

      This will be your future position, because you:
      As Investment Manager ODD, you are a dedicated team player with a hands-on mentality and result oriented. You also have proven influencing and relationship management skills and you are able to challenge conventional practices and pursue continuous improvement. You are optimistic, creative, innovative, independent and you like to challenge and to be challenged. The following qualifications are strongly preferred:

      • Master’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, Legal or Economics
      • Have 3-5 years of relevant work experience with a good understanding of processes applicable to the Asset Management Industry (a background in ODD, Audit, Compliance or Operational Risk is preferred); Affinity with compliance and the investment world
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to formulate and support a documented thesis and form opinions
      • Strong analytical research skills
      • Have an accurate, diligent working style
      • CFA or similar certificate or in the process or willing to obtain one is an advantage
      • Fluency in English (both written and oral)
