We are looking to welcome a motivated, dynamic and flexible Registered Nurse to support the team on Sidmouth Ward as Junior Sister / Charge Nurse. This individual will support the Ward Manager to continue providing the high standards of care and service on Sidmouth Ward (an accredited gastroenterology medical ward).
Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will Provide effective managerial and clinical leadership of ward/department staff.
2. Undertakes individual performance reviews, appraisals, identifies and implements personal development plans for junior staff.
3. Assists in the effective management of the ward/department consumables budget.
4. Complies with all Trust policies and national guidelines.
5. Deals personally with patients, families and carers in order to aid resolution of complaints.
6. Represents the ward at meetings as and when required.
7. Facilitates open and effective communication within the ward team.
8. Celebrates success but also appropriately challenges and develops solutions for any identified poor standards
