Job summary
The post holder will provide high quality nursing care to patients, participating in the setting of standards of nursing practice within a cohesive multidisciplinary team.
The expectations within this job description will be met through leadership, hands on clinical practice, education and training, and research.
The post holder will be expected to act as the designated deputy for the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse and manage operational issues in their absence
Main duties of the job
Junior Sister/Charge Nurse - 37.5 hours a week, cross-site
Our Hematology and Medical infusion Day Unit Infusion is looking to recruit a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse. The successful candidate will need to have experience working in a fast paced cancer environment and have excellent communication and leadership skills. You will be expected to support the Unit Manager in the day to day running of the unit providing leadership in their absence.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who would like to build their management and leadership skills.
Chemotherapy administration is desirable in this post but willingness to learn is essential.
