What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Connect with consumers over the phone to provide crisis counseling and support
- Build rapport and engage clients in therapeutic conversations
- Assess risk and document interactions
- Provide resources and information as needed
- Help clients develop coping strategies and safety plans
- Provide emergency intervention when necessary
- Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate degree in a behavioral health field (MSW, PsyD, or PhD) or a master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) in behavioral health with a clinical practice emphasis
- Licensed as a limited or fully licensed social worker or counselor according to state licensing board requirements
- Reside in Illinois and hold a valid license (LSW, LPC, LCPC, or LCSW)
- Ability to work from a distraction-free private office space
- Strong communication and assessment skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or mental health counseling
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and telephonic counseling services
