What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Educate and engage anglers and community members in fish habitat conservation and restoration priorities
- Maintain and grow the volunteer network to support conservation objectives on the Kenai Peninsula
- Build relationships with local businesses to promote habitat conservation efforts
- Identify and prioritize habitat restoration and protection opportunities with partners
- Represent the employer in a manner consistent with its brand and mission
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Knowledge of salmon and trout habitat needs obtained through academic study or practical experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in planning events, coordinating meetings, and conducting public outreach
- Familiarity with public communications platforms such as social media and email
- At least two years of experience in public outreach, education, or community engagement

- Basic angling experience and familiarity with the Kenai sportfishing community
- Ability to travel throughout the Kenai Peninsula and work flexible hours as needed
