Within Fender Musical Instruments Corporation’s ("FMIC") Sales team, you will have direct contact with key account customers, where you will create, build, and maintain strong business relationships.

      We are searching for a Key Account Manager based in Los Angeles, CA to join our team. This position will be dedicated to a key account focused on FMIC Specialty Brands, Jackson, Charvel, EVH and Gretsch with the goal of achieving annual targets by building successful, long-term business development strategies to be executed in collaboration with the account.

      Essential Functions:

      • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel at the Guitar Center and Musician’s Friend to secure all business opportunities and to ensure long-term success.
      • Schedule onsite monthly meetings with all relevant decision makers at GC & MF.
      • Investigating and resolving queries and issues raised by key personnel.
      • Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies for managing and growing national accounts to yearly growth plans.
      • Full responsibility and accountability for ensuring all expenditures are within assigned MDF, Advertising & Promotional and Travel & Entertainment budgets.
      • Developing a promotional strategy with customers while maintaining within budgets.
      • Collect and analyze sales data and trends.
      • Report on the status of accounts and transactions in weekly staff meetings.
      • Running weekly sales data analysis to provide data driven recommendations to customers to increase sales.
      • Monitor sales metrics and incoming orders to ensure fulfillment in a timely manner.
      • Work cross-functional with demand planners to ensure the success of our business partnerships and all clients’ requirements are met in a timely manner.
      • Liaise with the product marketing and marketing communications team to set and implement strategies for successful new product launches.
      • Ensure all NPI is provided to GC/MF to meet customer deadlines.
      • Ensure brand consistency
      • Identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability and overall improvement in account management.
      • Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
      • Additional duties as assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • A minimum of 3-5 years of sales and territory management is required
      • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales
      • Highly effective time management, planning, and multitasking ability
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build productive and professional relationships
      • Knowledge of finance, inventory management, and forecasting
      • CRM experience
      • Ability to thrive in both a team environment and individually
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office
      • Ability to maintain professionalism and effective communication at all levels of FMIC and its clients

The pay scale for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that Fender considers in making compensation decisions, including, without limitation: skill set, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work. Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $82,500.00 – 120,000.00
