      We are now accepting applications for the Keyera Summer Student Program for our Calgary office and field locations. To be eligible for Keyera’s Summer Student program, students must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be enrolled for fall studies. Keyera summer students must be available for the duration of the work term which runs from May – August.

      Job Description:

      THE POSITION

      Keyera is currently seeking summer students for various roles across Alberta, including the Edmonton Area, Central Alberta, Nothern Alberta and Calgary. For a breakdown of the available roles and responsibilities, please review the RESPONSIBILITIES section for each geographical area below.

      These exciting and dynamic roles seek to expose summer students to opportunities within the energy sector and advance their skills ets through various responsibilities. These are temporary roles from May to August 2024 and are only open to students returning to post-secondary in the Fall of 2024. Roles in the Edmonton Area and Central Alberta are open to rela tives of Keyera employees.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Must be at least 18 years old to be considered

      • Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to college/university in the Fall 2024 semester

      • Dedicated to learning and upholding safety in the workplace for yourself, your team, and the area you work in. Must be willing to complete all safety and role-specific training and follow safety rules and regulations while on site

      • Positive attitude, problem solving abilities, and strong attention to detail

      • Able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision and within team environments

      • May be required to complete a pre-employment test and/or submit a satisfactory drivers' abstract as a condition of employment

      • Experience in the oil and gas industry and an understanding of the midstream sector is an asset

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      Calgary Area

      JR1642 Indigenous Relations Summer Student

      • Act as a central point of contact and coordination for all summer community engagement requests from communities

      • Develop and maintain databases and records to support economic reconciliation initiatives

      • Provide coordination and support to the Keyera Indigenous Business Resource Group

      • Assist in the coordination and planning of internal and external meetings, open houses, workshops, and events

      • Comfortable with technical writing, presentation skills, and knowledge transfer to various stakeholders

      • Experience with office management tools and systems, such as Microsoft Suites is considered an asset

      • 8-hour day shifts

      JR1617 Asset Management and Reliability Summer Student

      • Support continual improvement of existing facility AMR Master Data

      • Support Management of Change (MOC) and Project Delivery System (PDS) AMR deliverables

      • Support Reliability; update of PM Programs, Failure Analysis/Bad Actor reviews, and Criticality ranking

      • Comfortable with technical writing, presentation skills, and knowledge transfer to various stakeholders

      • Experience with office management tools and systems, such as Microsoft Suites is considered an asset

      • 8-hour day shifts

      Edmonton Area

      JR1641 Maintenance and Labour Support Summer Student (Alberta EnviroFuels)

      • General maintenance and warehouse labour support including landscaping shop and plant cleanup activities and some minor painting around the site

      • Assisting in minor repairs on site

      • Provide ad ministrative support where needed, including document control, and maintaining internal databases and records

      • May be required to assist on specialized projects

      • 8-hour day shifts

      JR1655 General Labour Summer Student ( Sherwood Park )

      • General physical labour responsibilities such as lifting up to 25 kgs, painting on site, lawn mowing and ground maintenance

      • Assisting in minor repairs on site

      • Completing routine forms, records, etc.

      • M ay be required to assist on specialized projects on site

      • 9-hour day shifts

      JR1634 General Maintenance Labour Summer Student ( Fort Saskatchewan )

      • Grounds k eeping d uties such as c ut grass using both a riding and push lawn mower , pull weeds in flower beds around the administration building , plant cleanup activities and some minor hand/brush painting around the site

      • Assisting in minor repairs on site

      • Complete routine forms, records, etc.

      • M ay be required to assist on specialized projects on site

      • 8-hour day shifts

      Central Alberta Area

      JR1646 General Labour Summer Student ( Gilby – Near Eckville )

      • General physical labour responsibilities such as lifting up to 25 kgs, painting on site, lawn mowing and ground maintenance

      • Assisting in minor repairs on site

      • Completing routing forms, records, etc.

      • May be required to assist on specialized projects on site

      • 10-hour day shifts

      JR1612 General Labour Summer Student ( Strachan Gas Plant Near Rocky Mountain House )

      • Duties shall include, but are not limited to: w arehouse m aintenance, painting, filing, data entry, yard maintenance, general clean up, hot-shotting

      • Assisting in minor repairs on site

      • Completing routing forms, records, etc.

      • May be required to assist on specialized projects on site

      • 8 - hour day shifts

      JR1622 General Labour Summer Student ( Brazeau River)

      • General physical labour responsibilities such as l ifting up to 25 kgs , p ainting on site , l awn mowing and ground maintenance

      • Completing routing forms, records, etc.

      • May be required to assist on specialized projects on site

      • This position works a 12-hour shift, has a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, and will be required to stay in camp at Brazeau

      JR1640 Administrative Summer Student ( Rimbey )

      • Provide administration support with clerical data entry, document filing, switchboard, S drive clean up and OE 5.1 compliance

      • Various administration projects including document control and administration assistance and vacation coverage

      • 8-hour day shifts

      JR1637 Rail Car Loader Summer Student ( Rimbey )

      • Railcar inspection and loading

      • Process lab sampling, inventory monitoring & management

      • Basic, fundamental onsite operations (ex: Checking water wells)

      • Vacation coverage for operators

      • Assisting shift ops as needed

      • 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights

      JR1638 General Labour Summer Student ( Nordegg )

      • General physical labour responsibilities such as lifting up to 25 kgs, painting on site, lawn mowing and ground maintenance

      • Assisting in minor repairs on site

      • Completing routine forms, records, etc.

      • May be required to assist on specialized projects on site

      • 10-hour day shifts

      Northern Alberta

      JR1636 General Labour Summer Student (Grand Prairie)
