- Understand the business ambition, needs and processes to develop the “big picture” from a learning and development perspective.
- Design and deliver a blended learning and development approach for Global Functions which meets the business requirements
- Management of 1 direct report, the Learning and Development Consultant
- Oversea the Learning and Development at group, delivered through the Learning and Development Consultant.
- Work with the People Business Partners and Market Units to effectively plan and analyse requirements to ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Review all relevant sources of information such as quality assurance to identify training gaps and needs, ensuring the blended approach meets these needs and priorities
- Work with key stakeholders and internal customers to ensure solutions meet and exceed customer expectations
- Create new and revise of current training collateral, to ensure a high level of relevance, quality and consistency
- Work with other market/business units in order to effectively utilise resources within the Bupa Group and to ‘steal with pride’
- Research and manage external and internal suppliers for training design and delivery where required.
- Strong (and recent) L&D experience working in demanding and pace-driven environment within Healthcare, Financial Services or Global blue chip organisation.
- Deep learning and development knowledge; able to both ‘create new’ and adapt known tools and techniques
- Think and act strategically as well as tactically where appropriate
- Strategic and operational L&D programme management
- Demonstrable planning and organisational skills.
- Clear and engaging communication and presenting style
- Builds rapport and robust relationships at all levels
- Comfortable with handling change and ambiguity
- Experience of senior stakeholder management
- Experience of development Senior Management L&D tools

The role
This role has responsibility for identification, design and delivery of professional “best in class” L&D interventions to meet the developing needs of our Global Functions. A key focus of the role is relationship management of the internal customers, understanding and supporting current needs and future capability requirements and working with internal/customers to identify appropriate L&D interventions. This will include managing end-to-end implementation from effective timely design to delivery of the interventions, utilising the most relevant and cost effective methodologies.
