Location: Predominantly based at Leckford Estate with occasional travel to Bracknell
Salary: £68,900.00 - £102,000.00 per annum

Degree educated in agriculture or a related discipline
A continuous improvement mindset
Experience in Strategy and/or Proposition development preferably in a retail or consumer environment
Experience in leading customer focused strategic cross functional projects
Significant communications and public affairs experience
Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
Stakeholder management and influencing
Experience of working in agriculture/E&S disciplines in the context of food retailing

We have an exciting opportunity to join our very own Leckford Estate as a Development Lead.
A key part of this role will be to lead the design and development of Leckford as a Regenerative Agriculture hub and knowledge exchange, ensuring its role in supporting our Waitrose UK farming supply base in transitioning to Regenerative Agriculture.
It will maximise Leckford’s role in delivering E&S Waitrose regenerative farming and nature outcomes. Working closely with the GM Leckford Regen Ag Lead, E&S Agri and Responsible sourcing team, and the Commercial Lead, Regenerative Food Transformation they will ensure that Leckford is relevant at all times and adequately responds to the challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Leading the design, development and integration of Leckford regen agriculture programme and knowledge exchange to help deliver systemic change in farming systems
Establish routine reviews with Head of Agriculture and Responsible Sourcing to recommend and agree programme content
Ensure the strategic relevance of Leckford through ongoing monitoring of its effectiveness in meeting regenerative agriculture and nature goals set for Leckford
Working closely with the Commercial Lead, Food Transformation and with the E&S Responsible Sourcing and Agricultural team, ensure all relevant work streams are agreed and in place.
Lead Leckford stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment in meeting regenerative agriculture goals.
Keep up-to-date with policy, latest regenerative agricultural trends and relevant competitor proposition activity and adjust approach to ensure Leckford retains a market leading position.
