      Job Description:

      Join Lab Compute as an IT Engineering Technician! As an IT Engineering Technician in this organization your duties would be split between Inventory control for pre-production platforms, percent Client / server build support and troubleshooting. Primary focus is on the tracking, shipping, setup and troubleshooting of pre-production hardware and support to the engineering teams using these platforms. 2 positions available--one more focused on the Inventory side and the other more focused on build and support but both positions will need to cover each other.

      We are looking for a qualified, positive, team player that brings energy and ability to learn fast and grow. You must be a self-starter with strong initiative and solid problem solving and analytical skills. The working environment is very dynamic, with changing priorities, and effectively handling multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner is a must. Must have good communication skills and be willing to take notes and create documentation. Must have good attention to detail and be willing to follow detailed instructions. Must be willing to work with team mates and customers in a professional positive attitude.

      More detailed job function details - experience in any of the following is a plus:

      Platform Support

      • Support engineers. Support all aspect of hardware in and outside of lab

      • Inventory, organization, equipment distribution/labeling.

      • Track and implement reworks on SDPs. Coordinate, plan and execute on reworks as need arises.

      • Handle shipping and receiving - Platforms, Upgrade kits, CPUs, AICs, labeling, etc.

      • Support tracking of equipment

      • Ensure compliance/readiness for various audits

      Lab Operations

      • Oversee tidiness and organization of common lab areas and engineer's benches. Provide/create space as critical need arises

      • Waterfall damaged, EOL and unwanted equipment. Identify damaged equipment and replace as necessary.

      • Support engineer dev and debug systems. Provide support as problems arise.

      • Support various specialty equipment -TLA, Dediprog, Scopes, power meters, Meters, I/O testers, and Analyzers.

      Lab

      • Support inventory, tracking, organization, equipment distribution/labeling.

      • Shipping and Receiving of platforms and equipment.

      • Oversee tidiness and organization of common lab areas and engineer's benches.

      • Waterfall damaged, EOL and unwanted equipment.

      Ticket Support

      • Support equipment, lab, and platform ticket requests followed by updating status to completion.

      • Support tickets according to priority, need date, and requestor details on a daily basis.

      Platform Support

      • Support OEM/RVP/SDS/FFRD/SDP platform setup/deployment.

      • Maintain multiple platforms segments - eg. Server, desktop, mobile or tablet.

      • Assist delivering platforms to developers for debugs, with proper FW/BIOS/OS pre-configured

      • Support platform upgrades /repairs/replacements/reworks.

      • Support, diagnose, and troubleshoot all components of - FW, BIOS, HW, and SW.

      • Install and setup across multiple versions of Windows Operating Systems

      • Support Self-hosting by providing local setup for developer and staff members

      Developer Support

      • Communicate and sync with development engineers and team members

      Lab Maintenance and Management

      • Assist in inventory management support of hardware and equipment used within the lab.

      • Support inventory, tracking, organization, equipment distribution/labeling.

      • Oversee tidiness and organization of common lab areas and engineer's benches and cubes.

      • Assists in layout changes - benches and racks - in the lab by rewiring configuration and assist in machine placements.

      Shipping and Receiving

      • Ship platforms and equipment to domestic and international locations using ISM Intel tools.

      • Support incoming packages and freight by checking in and inventorying of equipment/items.

      • Distributing of received equipment to lab locations and specific team members.

      Inventory Management

      • Manage and track all required data of equipment in the Intel based tools: AIM/ISMP/SAP, etc.

      • Support handling of equipment to be tracked within the relevant tracking system - Priority and ISMP

      Cycle Count

      • Support and manage HVPIP of lab assets by following Intel guidelines.

      • Assist and prepare for all Intel auditing of HVPIP done on a quarterly basis.

      Lab Compliance and Maintenance

      • Comply with all processes including Safety, ESD, Security, Calibration, FCC, CCC and HVPIP.

      • Support and compliance of scrapping - waterfall damaged, EOL and unwanted - equipment.

      Qualifications:

      You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

      Minimum Qualifications

      The candidate must have a minimum of a High School or equivalent with 6+ years of experience - OR - AA/AS with 2+ years of experience - OR - a Bachelor's Degree and:

      • Engineering, IT, Client or Server platform support or experience in Inventory Control or as a Technician in a lab.

      • Hardware PC builds and OS installations

      • Tickets-routing, assigning, updating

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience in IT related to Network, infrastructure, or high tech lab environment

      • Remote access work: KVM, RDP, BMC etc.

      • Firmware programing, BIOS, BMC, CPLD, FPGA etc.

      • Setup of debug tools and apps, ITP, KDNet etc.

      • Shipping, receiving and tracking

      • ServiceNow
