- 4 years of experience working in clinical laboratory
- Previous reference lab experience
- DOT/IOTA Certification
Additional Information:
- Prepares, maintains, and performs function checks on analyzers, laboratory equipment, and automation equipment.
- Assists with Quality Assurance (QA) projects. Completes Safety Intelligence reports for the Core Lab Manager.
- Provides technical information about specimen collection, sample transport, sample identification, required documents, test methods and other related technical information to registered nurses, physicians, and laboratory clients.
- Ensures all laboratory policies and procedures are followed. Addresses all patient/specimen problems as needed and consults with the Laboratory Lead Technician, Supervisor, or Pathologist for guidance.
- Receives patient samples and conducts analysis of biological samples. Uses laboratory computer systems to order tests, generate results, generate reports, track and retrieve specimens and document communications.
- Maintains and orders core lab general stock.
- Performs other duties as needed.
