A local and well known Deer Park company is looking to expand their team by adding a Lab Technician to their team! Company is willing to train so no exact experience is required, but will require a Bachelor's Degree in the Chemistry or a related field.

Role: Lab Technician

Job Details:

• No experience required. Recent college grad preferred.
  
• Temp-to-hire position. 6-month contract, dependent on candidate and budget at time of hiring
  
• Teams video interview. Lab tour for preferred candidate.
  
• Start date: ASAP
  
• Perform various laboratory tests to determine the chemical and physical characteristics of petroleum-based materials.
  
• Provides material adjustment recommendations to blending department.
  
• Strong math and computer background and good communication skills. Communicates with several departments daily.
  
• Should be able to work independently or as a member of a team.
  
• Good analytical and problem solving skills. Confidence in decisions.
  
• Strong multi-tasking. Works efficiently and can meet deadlines.
  
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, sit, climb stairs, and work in both a lab and manufacturing environment for extended periods of time.
  
  REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry.
  
  Schedule: Pitman Schedule usually involves 4 teams that work 2 day/night shifts, then get 2 rest days, followed by 3 day/night shifts. This is repeated weekly, however, the second week begins with 2 rest days, then by 2 day/night shifts, followed by 3 rest days. This is then repeated from the beginning the week afterwards.
  
  Pay rate: $24.04/hour
