Carry out various testing based on documented test methods. This will include paper testing, raw material checks, process testing as well as legislative testing
Carry out regular checks on various testing equipment
Record all results in a clear and concise manner in appropriate databases
Participate in lab rota, including weekend and statutory holidays as rostered
Actively participate, support and demonstrate health & safety procedures involved in all aspects of this role
You will work to complete modules as a part of SVQ in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (Industrial Science) at SCQF Level 6 – if applying as an apprentice
You have a minimum of Level 5 National Certificate in Applied Science. National 5 or equivalent qualification in Maths is preferred
You are proficient in IT
You are eager to learn, adaptable, and motivated
You are organized, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a clean lab environment
You are flexible to the needs of the production environment
You are an effective communicator
We are open to individuals with laboratory experience, though not mandatory

We are now looking for a Laboratory Apprentice or Assistant to join our QA team in Caledonian, UK.
What you will do
This position is ideal for candidates who are either interested in pursuing an SCQF Level 6 through our one-year apprenticeship program with the goal of becoming a Lab Assistant, or for those already holding an SCQF Level 6 (or higher) qualification, who are ready to directly step into the Assistant Role.
