BAE Systems is looking for a Laboratory Technician III to join their fast-paced Lab Services team in (Merrimack_NH ). You will be supporting a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation of engineering labs. This position will have you working directly with program(s) and lab users directed by the Site Lab Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Oversees engineering labs and the programs therein. Works directly with program personnel and lab users. Assists in maintaining schedules and milestones.
- Performs a multitude of audits/inspections for personnel and product safety, asset management, external and internal quality. Familiarize themselves with the current SH&E Manual and periodically review for updates.
- Perform various Metrology tasks including various databases to include calibration recall, scheduling, tracking, and record keeping. Ensure DOD approved sanitization procedure exists. Perform sanitization procedure and proper documentation.
- Manage chemical inventories. Order, inspect and disposition. Creation of new part numbers when necessary. Monitor Hazardous Material/Waste Disposition.
- Learn and remain current with BAE Systems official Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedure. Become proficient in procuring, installing and certifying ESD lab articles. Perform semi-annual verification.
- Learn and remain current with BAE Systems official Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) procedure. Assist Sr. Lab Technicians in keeping labs to their assigned FOD level.
- Create work orders where the work includes facilitating Plant Engineering or custodial services.
- Using internal purchasing options acquire computer/network materials to satisfy the lab users IT requirements. In the event of a laptop/pc/workstation purchase ensure licensing software is also purchased (i.e. Linux OS)
- Deliver, stock, inventory and remove various materials and equipment within the lab following the appropriate BAE Systems guidelines.
- Post equipment PM (Periodic Maintenance) schedules and records. Coordinate appropriate personnel (i.e. Lab Services Staff, Lab User, etc.), Plant Engineering or Vendor that will perform PM.
- Through company, credit card and manual requisitions procure specified non-capital materials for labs and programs.
- Create shipping paperwork using the ISTAR system, while tracking the shipment until it reaches its destination. Initiate DD1149 (Government Shipper) as required. Perform initial inspection of incoming materials and verify the packing list. Repack materials for storage and deployment using approved containers.
- May instruct or train lower junior technicians.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
