Job Title: Press Line Operator

Job Description

Operators will lead in all aspects of the operation of press lines, including changeovers, machine start-up, running, and shut-down. You will support operations in becoming world-class in all aspects of the business, beginning with safety. You will run all jobs in accordance with customer specifications, manufacturing specifications, print specifications, color folders, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely, including production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets, S.O.C sheets, and others as assigned.
• Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and down time.
• Train and direct the press assistant to become efficient at all required assistant duties as defined in the assistant training matrix on time.
• Understand and comply with product safety regulations.
• Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives, including cross-training and moving to the work.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of manufacturing experience
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Capability to stand for the entirety of the shift
• Proficiency in entering data into a computer system
• Ability to function independently
• Capability to lift 50 lbs at times

Work Environment

This is a very clean and temperature-controlled environment. The facility houses large printing presses and requires teamwork as well as independent work. The standard workweek is four days, with a potential for five days, though this is unlikely. Shifts are 12 hours, from 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am, Monday through Thursday. Please note that there is an adhesive smell throughout the facility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

-Shift differential is 1.50
-Will do performance reviews every 30-60-90 days to increase pay potentially
-Will not have turnover if you're doing what you're supposed to
