Chubb’s Chicago House Counsel Law Firm of Schueler, Dallavo & Casieri is seeking a Law Clerk – Part Time (2L/3L Students Only)

The firm of Schueler, Dallavo & Casieri gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high paced law firm. This is a paid position that is ideal for students who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a law firm setting.

The law clerk perform tasks that include research into unique issues, motion drafting, deposition digesting, preparation for depositions, medical record research, and report writing (after accompanying the attorneys to depositions or court). Their work provides much needed relief to the attorneys as their work involves both long-term projects and the needed short-term immediate-type assignments

Qualifications

• Navigate through case management system in order to review documents
• Ability to work independently and professionally with the organization
• Solid written/oral communications skills, and client interpersonal skills
• Problem resolution abilities and ability to apply knowledge to similar problems; logically analyze alternative solutions
• Solid computer/technology skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize work and perform under pressure of strict deadlines

The pay range for the role is $48,900 to $81,300. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
