We are building a new health care model that is easier to use, less expensive, and puts the consumer at the center of their care. The productization of data and analytics is one of the foundational pillars transforming and modernizing CVS Health.

You will be part of the "Analytics & Behavior Change" team that designs, develops, and delivers software applications that empower business users with more efficient workflows and advanced analytics, so they can do their jobs faster, better, and more accurately. As a Product Management group, we are product owners, Solution Strategists, QA experts, and release mangers who set the vision of the products we build and coordinate the entirety of the product lifecycle. We work with our business partners to identify and prioritize value. We orchestrate the work across IT, design, data engineering, data science, BI, and application development.

As a Lead DevOps & Release Management at CVS Health you will be leading the releases of complex features within the Underwriting Platform, a software application that serves financial users from our Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) business unit. You will work on various release activities for multiple applications, and your primary responsibility will be ensuring that Underwriting Transformation Products are delivered of high quality and on time.

Your role is vital to ensure that critical requirements and features are released into production to support companies underwriting and other financial processes. This has a great impact on end users of these applications and the quality of service we provide to our internal customers.

      Responsibilities:
      • Plan and support Release Management over multiple products/applications and perform day-to-day activities to deliver timely and quality releases.
      • Influence the successful delivery and implementation of cross-functional activities to achieve the desired results for a defined program and/or strategic initiative.
      • Measure, track, and communicate release milestones/notes, deployment instructions, version control records and various associated risks in collaboration with Dev/QA Engineers, Product Managers and Scrum masters.
      • Collaborate with stakeholders to create release plans, considering dependencies, timelines, and resource requirements.
      • Collaborate with all project stakeholders to proactively identify and mitigate project risks with frequent reevaluation and reprioritization of the risk log.
      • Develop merging, branching and staging strategies in collaboration with DevOps engineers, socialize and get it implemented across various applications/software.
      • Develop and maintain release management processes, policies, and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient releases.
      • Generate regular reports on release status, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights to stakeholders.
      • Facilitate post-release reviews to gather feedback and implement lessons learned for future releases.
      • Come up with creative ideas to use application-release automation (ARA) tools, which help cultivate DevOps and implement continuous delivery (CD) quickly.
      • Be able to deliver in a high paced and ambiguous environment with a customer-focused mindset. • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or other related field.
