What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and develop distribution and substation projects, including MV/LV transformers and switchgear
- Conduct power system modeling and studies using software like ETAP, SKM, or CYME
- Troubleshoot relay and SCADA protection issues while collaborating with field teams
- Provide technical support for battery energy storage systems (BESS) design and integration
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility, consulting, or substation design engineering
- Proficiency in relay settings and programming with major manufacturer software
- Experience with power system modeling software, including ETAP, SKM, CYME, or ASPEN
- Familiarity with SCADA integration and communications protocols is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- EIT or PE license preferred but not required
- Familiarity with civil and structural aspects of substation design is beneficial
- Experience with battery energy storage system (BESS) design is a plus
