What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the team in delivering electrical engineering project deliverables while meeting technical, quality, financial, and project controls expectations
- Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants
- Provide technical oversight and supervision for all electrical engineering activities, including engineering design change packages and calculations
- Interface with clients to validate scope and ensure satisfaction while identifying strategic opportunities
- Mentor group members and facilitate routine status meetings to track project progress
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program
- Twelve or more years of experience in designing electrical engineering systems for nuclear power plants
- Three or more years of experience leading an engineering design group through all project phases
- Proficiency in selecting equipment, preparing engineering design change packages, and performing calculations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with project teams and clients
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role
- Familiarity with low and medium voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors, relays, etc.)
- Detail-oriented approach to work with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness
- Capability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear station
