- Act as Team Leader for the QA department and Shift
- Planning work, delegating work, communicating, inspecting results, problem solving, accept/reject decisions, verification of policy compliance, and documentations
- Management of Departmental Training Program and is the trainer when assigned
- Perform projects as assigned
- Responsible for monitoring, record keeping, and taking appropriate action for specified Food Safety Plan and Prerequisite Program Requirements
- This position is a backup for a QA Technician
- High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
- Basic QA Lab Experience to include lab testing
- Knowledge of product and packaging quality attributes
- Knowledge of product line
- Knowledge of the various coding systems
- Knowledge of the operational systems of the facility
- Must have good communication skills both written and verbal
- Must have good math skills
- Basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Must be able to lead a team
- In depth knowledge of all QA SOP, positions, and responsibilities
- Must work directly and indirectly with QA and Production Personnel
- Must be able to motivate employees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
· Standing- to complete most all tasks
· Walking
· Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment
· Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox
· Squatting
· Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine
· Twisting- to perform work activities
· Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires
· Carry tray of cans from line to QA lab, 12 pounds
· Push cart with cans, minimal force required to push cart
· Lift box of ingredients to take sample, varies from 25-52 pounds
· Maneuver 55 gallon drum of chorine from skid to dolley, 550 pounds

· Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and pre requisite program requirements.
· Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management.
