Job summary

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase with Platform Services in GTI, you would be responsible for developing/enhancing technology solutions that allows the integration of disparate applications, platforms and organizations to move large amounts of information in a fast, secure and resilient method.

Job responsibilities

• Technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, ongoing data validation processes, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions
• Expertise in product and infrastructure engineering
• Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met
• Executes within a customer-centric environment
• Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
• Exposure to scripting languages such as python, UNIX.LINUX shell, perl and/or PHP would be an added advantage
• Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in software engineering discipline with 10+ years of applied experience
• In-depth understanding of file transfer protocols (like SFTS, FTPS, Connect Direct, AS2, S3, etc), ciphers, encryption and working experience on Applications supporting the File Transmissions
• Exposure/Background in at least two of the following modern programming languages: Java, Angular 6, Perl, Shell or Python with respect to designing, coding, testing, software delivery, and support
• Working experience with wide technology trends and best practices related to SRE
• Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages
• Working knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Working knowledges of developmental toolsets such as Bit Bucket, Jules, Jenkins and Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in providing Level 3 operational support of application and infrastructure issues
• Experience with developing frameworks that reduce operational toil or application technical debt while maintaining a high degree of system availability
• Working experience with wide technology trends and best practices related to SRE
