      Job title: Lead Major Incident Manager

      Location: Preston – 2/3 hybrid split. Optional paid On-Call on a rota basis

      Salary: Circa £47K

      What you’ll be doing:

      · Responsible for the Major Incident Management, Event and Backup processes and procedures

      · Manage the Major Incident management team on a day to day basis, ensuring all Major Incidents are assigned, communicated, progressed and resolved in a timely manner by the immediate team and Command Centre

      · Will ensure that the Backups and Events processes are followed to minimise disruption to Live service for business critical applications and reduce the risk of lost business critical data

      · Leads on and facilitates communications between multiple stakeholders

      · Clearly articulates technical and business information to multiple stakeholders, including senior management, both in verbal and written communications. Provides mentoring and support to the Major Incident team and to third parties managing Major Incidents to ensure that business communications are accurate, clear, concise and timely

      · Assists high profile projects and other high priority business activities where major incident management are required to coordinate and progress multiple stakeholder and supplier activities

      Your skills and experiences:

      Essential

      · Knowledge of working within a SIAM / Service Operations environment

      · Must be self-motivated and be capable of managing suppliers and other stakeholders to deliver quality output on time

      · Understanding and awareness of organisational financial business planning

      · Must be able to meet tight deadlines, be organised, an excellent communicator and be able to manage multiple high priority issues simultaneously

      · Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. HNC / Prince 2 Foundation / Computer Science Degree)

      Desirable:

      · Trained to ITIL foundation and either appropriate ITIL Intermediate or other appropriate capability training

      The Major Incident Management Team:

      Leads the Major Incident Management Team in dealing with high severity, business critical issues. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role, providing wins and results for all levels of stakeholders of the business, providing opportunities to grow within Enterprise IT Services.
