- Ensure all engineering and design work performed adjusts to quality, cost and schedule requirements.
- Ensure all design work is safe and carried out in a safe manner.
- Ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards.
- Take responsibility of a Project Lead on a large sized multi-discipline project.
- Take responsibility for assigned team members, their design output ensuring quality, cost and schedule requirements are met.
- Maintain accountability for technical engineering oversight and coordination of other discipline engineers for a specific major project.
- Perform in a fast-paced environment supporting large projects (50Mil+)
- Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Initiate, manage and if required supervise mechanical engineering project requirements.
- Perform mechanical engineering services such as: participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
- Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress; and
- Ensure the required services meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between stakeholders.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanical engineering.
- If required, assist and support junior personnel within the mechanical engineering team.
- Communicate effectively with the mechanical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer and other key stakeholders.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
- Working experience leading large and mega projects.
- Experience leading large teams of engineers and designers.
- Working experience in a variety of industrial projects.
- Working experience designing, developing and leading different phases of Engineering Projects; from early stages up to Detailed Engineering.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
- A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Competent use of mechanical engineering specific software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Substantial technical and practical experience in mechanical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Significant Mechanical design and engineering experience
Experience leading large and mega projects.
P.Eng. registered in the Province of NL.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
