What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs for new power generation facilities, focusing on gas turbine systems
- Lead mechanical engineering design efforts, guiding junior and senior engineers and designers
- Investigate and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical engineering issues
- Prepare technical specifications and engineering studies for EPC projects in the power industry
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure timely and complete designs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design for heavy industrial plants, particularly in power, oil & gas, or chemical sectors
- 3+ years of experience leading an engineering design team through all project phases
- Knowledge of gas turbines and procurement for both Industrial Frame and Aeroderivative types
- PE license is required

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in construction and start-up processes
- Commissioning experience in relevant engineering projects
- Familiarity with creating design schematics and flow diagrams using design software
- Previous liaison experience between firms and clients in engineering roles
- Technical knowledge of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems for effective systems design
