What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute model validation and risk management functions in areas such as loss forecasting and capital planning
- Lead independent model validations and provide effective challenges for various financial models
- Produce documentation and analytical reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
- Identify and communicate emerging model risk issues to management and model developers
- Support interactions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational soundness of the model validation process

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in model development and validation in the financial services industry
- In lieu of a Master’s degree, 6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to operate office equipment and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Physical ability to remain stationary in an office environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in model development and validation in the financial services industry
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CIA, or CISA
- Experience with Python programming
- Previous experience in internal audit within financial services
