What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute model validation and risk management functions across various financial products and services
- Lead independent model validations and provide effective challenges for various financial models
- Produce detailed model validation documentation and analytical reports for senior management and regulators
- Identify emerging model risk issues and communicate findings to management and model developers
- Support collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the model validation process

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in model development and validation within the financial services industry
- In lieu of a Master's degree, 6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
- Proficiency in operating office equipment such as computers and telephones

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in model development and validation in the financial services industry
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CIA, or CISA
- Experience with Python programming
- Prior experience in internal audit within financial services
