What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop optimization models and algorithms for last mile delivery operations
- Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and business partners to enhance business processes
- Drive the deployment of models and tools to solve optimization problems, including vehicle routing and network optimization
- Create and maintain metrics to quantify improvements in network costs resulting from optimization models
- Design and implement complex optimization models for network design, routing, and scheduling

What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD or MS in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or relevant work/research experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building optimization models and algorithms that perform at scale
- Significant expertise in Optimization Theory, dynamic programming, linear algebra, probability, and statistics
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, or Kotlin programming
- Experience deploying ML models with large-scale business impact in a commercial setting

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Demonstrated expertise in Heuristics/Metaheuristics methods
- Experience solving large scale operations research problems using decomposition methods
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for partnering with global teams
- Constant learner mentality with a focus on supply chain optimization and AI
