      Job Summary – Lead QHSSE Advisor

      The Leadr QHSSE Advisor is the designated Management Representative on all Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSSE) related matters for the Company (FPI). The incumbent will lead and manage the implementation and assurance of Fugro Asia Pacific QHSSE processes and systems within South-East Asia that must be in line with Fugro Corporate Policies, Standards, prevailing legislation, and industry accepted best practice.

      He/ She is responsible for the day-to day management of QHSSE within the Philippines and / or Business Units and provides competent advice, guidance and analysis to management and employees. The incumbent is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the effective implementation of the Philippines and / or Business Unit QHSSE Management System and programs. He / She must support the effective execution of projects.

      A marine and/or nearshore activities background is required.

      Reports to: HSSE Manager of Singapore

      Job Responsibilities

      1. Operations

      • Set the QHSSE direction to be aligned with business goals, and champion all QHSSE related initiatives, plans and campaigns.
      • Oversees all QHSSE matters in the Philippines
      • Administering and maintaining the QHSSE management system, statistics, records and more.
      • Keeping service / business lines, projects and / or departments managers informed of their statutory, corporate, and contractual QHSSE obligations.
      • Assisting the development of QHSSE management procedures.
      • Improving QHSSE awareness and ensuring that safe working practices are carried out in accordance with both Company and statutory requirements.
      • Adopting and formulating safe working systems and practices.
      • Ensuring management is advised of any deficiencies in equipment standards, operating procedures and more.
      • Initiating appropriate action following receipt of a report of any accident involving health and safety and report of QHSSE meetings.
      • Obtaining appropriate guidance from specialist services.
      • Participating in management QHSSE and related meetings.
      • Report accidents to management and participating in accident investigation.
      • Reviewing, advising, and amending contractual requirements on quality, health, safety, security, and environment.
      • Developing and reviewing the QHSSE action plan for operations / projects.
      • Organizing and arranging QHSSE meetings and internal QHSSE audits.
      • Co-ordinating, scheduling and assisting in QHSSE training / activities within the Company.
      • Liaising with department managers in the identification of QHSSE conformance and subsequent removal of actual potential hazards.
      • Maintaining a liaison with client and / or departments regarding QHSSE audits and contractual requirements.

      2. Financial

      • Assist in promoting and marketing Fugro services

      3. Marketing

      • Assist in protecting Fugro assets and financial position.

      4. Personnel

      • Supervises personnel under their control in accordance with Fugro HR Policies

      5. Specific Additional Duties

      • Assisting or carrying out survey vessel, positioning base station and office HSE audit in the region and HSE Induction as and when necessary.

      6. Principal Working Relationships

      • Working and supporting internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to Occupational Health, Working Safety and Environmental Protection to comply with Philippines’s legislation and clients’ requirements.

      Job Requirements

      • At least a Degree in Engineering, HSE or related discipline
      • Familiar with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reportorials
      • 8 years and above of experiences in audits, QHSSE, risk and issue management
      • At least 8 years of experience in leading QHSSE teams and QHSSE experience in similar industry with multinational corporation
      • Marine/ Nearshore/ Offshore survey industry experience is required
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
