    • Coordinate and oversee the work of Student Success Advocates across schools, ensuring their efforts are aligned with District priorities and equity goals.
    • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of Student Success Advocates in addressing student attendance, behavior, and academic performance, utilizing data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
    • Set clear performance goals and expectations for Student Success Advocates, providing ongoing feedback and guidance to help them meet their objectives.
    • Collaborate with school leaders to ensure that Student Success Advocates are integrated into the school’s support systems.
    • Work with district leadership to identify and implement resources to support Student Success Advocates’ role in ensuring student success.
    • Support Student Success Advocates to build strong, trusting, and supportive relationships with students, focusing on creating a safe and welcoming environment for students to thrive.
    • Encourage Student Success Advocates to engage in meaningful mentorship that develops student agency, self-confidence, and leadership skills.
    • Ensure Student Success Advocates are empowering students to take responsibility for their academic progress, behavior, and overall well-being, fostering a sense of ownership and empowerment in their education
    • Develop and implement professional learning opportunities for Student Success Advocates that align with District goals, emphasizing mentorship, equity, and inclusive practices.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by organizing workshops, seminars, and peer-sharing sessions that promote reflective practice and professional growth.
    • Ensure Student Success Advocates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to support diverse student populations and address the unique needs of students in their care.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • CPI Basic training (preferred)
    • Mentor training (preferred)
    • CPR / AED certification (preferred)
    • Bilingual Spanish/English (written & verbal) preferred
    • Experience serving as a mentor for students.
    • Experience working with and/or leading adults toward a common goal.
    • Excellent communication and public relations skills (required)
    • Must relate well with students.
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks.
    • Ability to track, monitor, and report performance.
    • Previous experience in security/conflict resolution in an educational setting (preferred).
    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to work indoors and outside, as assignment requires.
    • This is a 12-month position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.

      Function / Position Summary

      As a key member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, the Lead Student Success Advocate is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and enhancing the efforts of Student Success Advocates throughout the district. This leadership position focuses on building the capacity of Student Success Advocates by providing professional learning opportunities, monitoring their effectiveness, and ensuring they have the tools necessary to succeed. The District Leader’s goal is to cultivate strong and trusting relationships between advocates and students, empowering students to take ownership of their academic success, improving attendance, behavior, and grades, and ultimately enhancing student outcomes. This role requires a commitment to developing student agency and confidence while ensuring that Student Success Advocates have the guidance and support needed to help students reach their full potential.

      Job Duties / Responsibilities
      Coordination and Monitoring of Support Efforts

      Terms of Employment
      • This is a 12-month position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
      The salary range for this position is $49,787.00 - $74,680.00. It is our typical practice to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($62,234.00).
