Lead, Technology Risk Management (Risk Services) Overview
The Technology Risk Management (TRM) organization is a business enabler and industry leader of technology and security risk management practices, supported by a multi-disciplinary team of top security, technology, and risk professionals. Our mission is to drive enhanced awareness, visibility, and proactive management of technology risks to ensure a secure and sound operational environment.
The Technology Risk Services team is responsible for engaging with internal and market facing programs in several ways. Oversee the embedding and aligning to the requirements of Mastercard technology policies and standards. Transform the implementation of technology risk management principles and practices by focusing on the reusability of core components, scalability of frameworks across various geographies/jurisdictions where Mastercard operates, quantitative assessment, and education of key stakeholders. This role will also support the following capabilities: identification, assessment, treatment, and monitoring of technology risks across the environment; providing an aggregate view of controls, issues and exceptions, to inform strategic decision making.
Responsibilities:
o Drive awareness of technology and information security policy and strategy expectations, and ensure sound principles are reflected in the program's goals that promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance
o Develop collaborative relationships with technology partners - Engineering, Biz Ops and Security Leads, Risk Management- to assist with understanding technology and security risk management obligations, identifying potential roadblocks and proactively develop strategies to help manage obligations
o Translate technology and security standards and associated control requirements to support control design and implementation, remediation approaches, and demonstration of compliance
o Communicate best practices and leverage trend analysis to develop business and cross-functional strategies around managing obligations
o Identify and report technology and security risk and compliance trends, develop insights to assist in risk treatment, including exception and escalation awareness
Experience:
o Familiarity with risk management lifecycle and processes (e.g., methods for identifying, assessing treating and monitoring risk)
o Background in technology audit, risk management, technology operations, information systems management, information security management, etc.
o Working knowledge of baseline Technology and Security processes, risks, and controls
Familiarity with technology/security frameworks and mechanisms (e.g., SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, COBIT, CRI, PFMI)
o Familiarity with regulatory technology and security risk management expectations
Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and potential for exploitation
o Experience collaborating cross-functionally, geographically to identify and implement best practice risk processes
o Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and driveCorporate Security Responsibility
