- Partner with leadership and subject matter experts to identify opportunities and/or gaps in leader development related to business acumen, system(s) knowledge, and skill / competency developmental needs to design, create, and deliver experiential learning solutions / programs.
- Know the Fintech (or similar complex industry) business, understand emerging business drivers/issues, and correlate this to the development and management of learning strategies, plans and identification of specific training courses / solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise on instructional media, adult learning principles, learning management systems / platforms, learning asset development, and learning measurement / reporting to build awareness of learning touch points and bring clarity to learning outcomes and value to the organization.
- With consideration to the evolving business environment and the corresponding changes to Fintech knowledge and skill profiles, build effective operational approaches for learning delivery that are executable with speed and agility, easily communicated, and operationally supported to produce a strong leadership pipeline.
- Demonstrate innovation in the change management and learning deliverables/solutions creation processes to ensure behavior and culture impacts.
- Effectively represent Fannie Mae Learning and Development Office (LDO) and liaise with other internal company Center of Excellence groups, business functions, and teams where appropriate.
- Build effective working relationships and bridges for cross-functional collaboration internal to Fannie Mae and with outside vendors (instructors, consultants, partners) as appropriate.
- Prepare and deliver clear, relevant, and influential presentations on learning strategies and plans to a variety of audiences.
- Summarize and succinctly communicate to leadership and colleagues’ status on the development and rollout of leadership development and learning initiatives.
- Enhance the learning metrics program to reflect activities; effectively identify and communicate trends, business impact, and leadership evolution as value to the company.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment with a focus on coaching and strategic value.
- 4 years of leadership development and coaching in a cross functional environment wherein systems, technology, process, and people are optimized and incentivized to align to a learning culture infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, education, communications, instructional design, change / transformation management or relevant performance or behavioral discipline required.
- Demonstrated skills in the business application of learning and education including design and development of eLearning, webinars, vILT / ILT / classroom delivery, job aids, pull through strategies, learner communities, communications, etc.
- Experience in establishing business processes, producing learning and development standards, and creating executive presentations, dashboards, metrics, and summary reports.
- Experience in contributing to large change initiatives and the practical application of blended learning solutions and development principles.
- Understanding and proven track record in applying adult learning principles to achieve successful outcomes from business and leadership learning strategies/plans.
- Understanding and demonstration of ADDIE, SAMe and other design methodologies in addition to change management methodologies.
- Understanding of behavior and performance assessment tools and methodologies and certification therein (e.g. Hogan, MBTI, Leadership Circle, DiSC, etc.).
- Solid influencing skills combined with the strong ability to work within a matrix environment.
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and leadership.
- Project conceptualization and management skills, time management, strategic planning including successful implementation of learning and/or supportive services.
- Aptitude and drive for innovation, passion for connecting with consumers of learning and other stakeholders, consulting skills to balance and decipher customer wants vs. needs.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to describe the complex with simplicity and write conversationally as well as the ability to adjust communication style and content to the audience.
- Ability to work effectively among multiple cultures/backgrounds and collaborate with both internal colleagues and external vendor relationships.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Must be IT-system savvy with working knowledge of learning system structures and functional attributes as well as skilled in Microsoft products (e.g. Teams, Outlook, Office, etc.).
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with 8+ years of experience managing people either directly or in a matrix role; solid influencing skills combined with the strong ability to work within a matrix environment.
- Experience (7+ years) in contributing to large change / transformation culture initiatives that practically apply blended learning solutions and developmental principles for behavior and mindset changes (specifically Leadership Development resulting in an adaptive and agile leader pipeline).
- Seasoned (7-10 years) of leadership development, coaching, learning portfolio management in a cross functional environment.
- Experience implementing learning solutions that impact employee performance, behaviors, and talent mobility within business functions would be a plus (including Learning Experience Platforms, Learning Record Store, Learning Vendors, experiential / case study learning, etc.)
- Significant experience implementing leadership development programs and employee development programs would be a plus.

Job Description
As a valued colleague on our Learning Development Office (LDO) team, you will guide the team and provide expert advice on end-to-end management of programs that address strategic initiatives, operational needs, and other key business issues by aligning multiple projects, products, processes, and stakeholders. The Lead Associate will direct, establish, and manage leadership development programs for Fannie Mae that are skill and behavior based via an integrated and experiential framework to drive towards a capability-rich employee pipeline. They will support learning from concept and strategy through delivery, which requires significant understanding of adult learning principles, behavior and culture acumen, instructional / curriculum development, blended learning delivery methods, and systems to deliver development programs / solutions.
We have one opening for this role and it can be worked on a hybrid basis from our Washington, DC, Reston, VA or Plano, TX office.
