ORS is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Learning & Development Manager - Positive Behaviour Support. This is a national role supporting around 300 Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners. Your Duties: * Responsible for the development and facilitation of training in the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Competency Framework requirements for Core and Proficient Practitioners in conjunction with other senior managers and continually review and update as needed * Read all contracts and guidelines related to each service/contract being provided to ensure that all training, policies and procedures meet these requirements and timeframes * Review service delivery model every year (or earlier as required) based on completed research, internal changes, or information and advice released by governing/peak bodies to ensure continual improvement and high performance * Ensure ORS staff have access to assessments/tests required to complete their work to a high standard. Ensure ORS are using the best evidence-based testing material available * Review all internal assessment documents and report templates yearly to ensure they exceed industry standards and client expectations. Ensure they are useful to all relevant parties and fit for purpose * Ensure every assessment (internal and external) has a training video and associated resources to ensure staff are competent in using them in their work * Ensure ORS staff have access to all of the resources (e.g. worksheets, games, toys) and equipment they need to work with the full range of clients referred within that division * Ensure the discipline specific assessments and resources on the internal resources portal are current, useful and meet the needs of staff * Development and implementation of training programs on topics of relevance for the discipline. These are to be extremely practical and focused on teaching staff how to work with these presentations/populations as identified by evidence-based research * Facilitate monthly new graduate groups on early career topics and other topics of need/interest for that group * Development of video-based marketing and blogs/vlog content for social media * Conduct or coordinate at least one new research topic (e.g. journal article, conference/workshop presentation, etc) annually Role requirements: * PhD or Masters in Psychology or Education or Cert IV. TAE (required) * Advanced/Specialist Practitioner level in Positive Behaviour Support * Significant expertise in restrictive practice understanding across multiple states * Preferably has experience as an independent specialist on restrictive practice panels * Extensive experience in providing all types of Positive Behaviour Support assessments and interventions * Previous experience in facilitating online and face to face training * Excellent information technology skills including the ability to use PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and other virtual environments * Able to execute organisational priorities in a fast-paced environment * Strong history of developing innovations and new processes in order to improve results and outcomes * Strong investigation and problem-solving skills * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with staff across all levels of the organisation * Exceptional ability to write and review reports and intervention plans * Driver's licence & vehicle Work Life Balance The ORS executive team really believes in the benefits of a healthy work life balance.
