- Five years or more experience in financial or banking services specifically within leasing for clean energy projects that generate tax credits with proven track record of exceeding performance in developing and maintaining business.
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in accounting, business, or finance or equivalent experience.
- Excellent sales skills with ability to meet or exceed established sales goals within expected timelines.
- Credit analysis underwriting skills, including accounting, financial statement, and cash flow analysis experience.
- Working knowledge with structuring credit products to middle market businesses in diverse industries with complex ownership structures.
- Knowledge of a variety of Bank services, products, and lending requirements.
- Effective customer service methods and practices.
- Proficient knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, practices and documentation.
Description
The Leasing Relationship Manager will be responsible for assisting to establish a tax leasing practice within the Bank’s Clean Energy Division in addition to managing and growing clean energy sale-leaseback relationships. In this role, the Leasing Relationship Manager serves as the primary point of contact and client advocate for the Bank’s Clean Energy clients with leasing opportunities ranging from $5 million to $50 million and deposit relationships of over $1 million.
River City Bank is a market leader in supporting clean energy in California and is the leading bank for Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) entities. The Bank’s Clean Energy Division oversees lending and deposit relationships with clean energy related companies and projects.
Essential Functions
1. Identify and develop leasing and deposit/cash management opportunities with prospective Bank clients, specifically clean energy sale-leaseback project finance opportunities.
2. Negotiate and structures new leases; prepares and documents current applications; reviews and analyzes financial data and other relevant information to determine each customer’s eligibility for credit.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience with underwriting and structuring sale-leaseback transactions for clean energy projects that generate tax credits.
4. Extensive knowledge of all bank products; identifies relationship-expansion opportunities and collaborates with partners to structure, coordinate, and fulfill credit and non-credit solutions, including cash management.
5. Initiates and implements an effective calling program to focus efforts on maintaining and increasing commercial banking relationships.
6. Represents the Bank in community organizations and activities to enhance the Bank’s image and maintain and enhance a referral network with Centers of Influence (COI’s) for business development opportunities.
7. Supports the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) through business development efforts. Actively participates in community organizations.
8. Maintains a current knowledge of bank regulations. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
9. Other duties as assigned.
