The PVH Legal team has teams located in different locations around the globe (New York, Amsterdam and Hong Kong to name a few). With a cross-functional reach and hands-on mentality, the Legal Department delivers a full range of best-in-class legal services to the entire company. Certain legal expertise areas are organized in Centres of Expertise (CoEs) in which team members specialized in such legal expertise area are part, regardless of where they are located.

The regional legal team of PVH Europe, based in Amsterdam, has team members who focus on a one or more of the following legal expertise areas:

The team based in Amsterdam consists of 20+ legal professionals of varying nationalities, backgrounds, cultures and legal expertise areas. We support the PVH business in EMEA, the Tommy Hilfiger brand globally and Calvin Klein brand in EMEA. We work on a broad spectrum of issues on a daily basis, from looking into new designs or negotiating a celebrity partnership, to training customs officials to identify counterfeits, supporting our fashion-tech journey, balancing privacy concerns and closing high stake commercial deals. There are five teams each headed by a Senior Manager or (Senior) Legal Director, who reports into the SVP Legal Affairs (General Counsel) of PVH Europe. Some expertise areas (marked with an *) are part of global CoEs, in which there is close collaboration and best practice sharing with other legal team members located in other offices of PVH (e.g., the PVH Legal team in New York).

A day in the life of our Legal Affairs intern

The Legal Intern will work on all kind of legal matters dealt with by the Legal department, including:

• The review and drafting of contracts and other (corporate) documents;
• Requests and questions from our daily business regarding legal aspects of any kind e.g. marketing, product liability, e-commerce, privacy and IP;
• You will be conducting research and collecting information and know-how;
• Drafting and contributing to presentations and team meetings for the various sub-teams;
• Assisting on brand protection issues, corporate projects, employment matters and compliance matters.

We are looking for an enthusiastic student who is eager to learn about all different aspects of the legal work within an international organization.

• You are studying European Law, civil law, company law, IP law, contract law and/or Dutch law HBO/WO (preference for Dutch law students);
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must; Dutch language is a plus;
• Accurate research skills, organizational and planning skills;
• Eye for detail, reliable, accountable and able to prioritize.

Internship must-haves
• Located within approximately one hour traveling time from the Amsterdam Office
• Eligible to work within the EU
• Must be enrolled in full time continuing education
• Available from 01 Feb 2024 for a 6-month full time program
• Our internship program primarily focuses on practical experience and skill development; therefore, we are not able to support research focused internships.
