What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the administration of antifraud, compliance, privacy, and internal dispute resolution programs
- Support the timely resolution of complaints and disputes under attorney supervision, including document preparation and calendaring
- Conduct research and maintain investigative files for fraud case investigations
- Review routine legal documents related to insurance transactions and provide guidance as needed
- Respond to inquiries from various stakeholders, including customers, regulatory agencies, and external legal counsel
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Undergraduate degree and/or comparable work experience; an associate's or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and research tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with business and insurance principles, contracts, and business law
- Willingness to take insurance-related courses (LOMA 280/281, 290/291, and 311) if no prior insurance experience exists
- Knowledge of the employer's processes/products and general policies and practices
