What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Apply knowledge of international law and U.S. policy in areas such as security of hazardous materials, international safeguards, and cybersecurity
- Provide technical expertise and publishable analysis to advance knowledge in Law and Policy
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate information from various sources to inform decision-making
- Monitor business challenges and regulatory issues, recommending process improvements
- Work independently on discrete projects while seeking mentoring opportunities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/BA with 5 years of relevant experience, or MS/MA, PhD, or JD/LLM with 3 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Background Investigation and compliance with drug testing regulations
- Knowledge of nonproliferation-related disciplines, including international safeguards and nuclear security
- Ability to make decisions guided by established policies and procedures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Juris Doctor) from an accredited institution
- 4+ years of relevant international law experience, particularly in arms control or space law
- Significant experience in international legal analysis
- Subject matter expertise in U.S. space regulations and policy
- Experience writing journal articles and giving presentations
