      Legal Assistant role (Grade 3/4 clerk) Office of the Registrar General (ORG)

      • Salary range $79,032 - $86,539 plus superannuation + leave loading

      The ORG is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the NSW land title system. It regulates the concession of NSW’s land titles registry, as well as overseeing providers of electronic conveyancing services in NSW.

      This role will involve working in a friendly and fast-paced environment. A contract role in an established regulator, which provides legal support services to enable the efficient operation of the policy and litigation teams.

      You will provide a range of administration services to contribute to efficient and effective policy on the legislation governing registration of title, the conveyancing process, eConveyancing, and the administration of the Torrens Assurance Fund (TAF).

      The right applicant will be a team player who is a flexible, adaptable, and a motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude. You will have excellent time management skills, experienced in record keeping and file management, willing to develop new capabilities and take on any task while work towards common team goals.

      We are looking for people who have the ability to plan and prioritise to meet competing demands with critical court deadlines.

      This role will involve:

      • Provide a range of legal administrative functions to support the efficient operation of the Policy and Litigation team
      • Act as a professional point of contact with staff and clients by responding to enquiries, providing information and advice in an effective and responsive manner
      • Undertake legal research and assist with preparation of draft advice/briefing documents
      • Assist in collating and filing court documents
      • Assist lawyers with the management of matters
      • Provide general administrative support

      Salary Grade 3/4, with the base salary for this role starting at $79,032 base plus superannuation
