      ABOUT THE ROLE

      This position will be responsible for all aspects of legal operations, including data analytics, process improvement, contract management, knowledge management, and project management in a growing FinTech Banking Team. This role will have opportunity to implement practical solutions to meet the department's needs and drive business objectives. From process improvement to new technology tools, MVB's FinTech Banking Team embraces forward-thinking approaches.

      WHAT YOU'LL DO

      • Partners with key stakeholders to develop a technology roadmap and technology initiatives.
      • Assists with department-related matters, case management, and document preparation/management for the Fintech Banking Team.
      • Develops metrics/dashboards and designs business intelligence systems to monitor performance against goals and targets.
      • Analyzes key legal metrics to identify root cause issues and opportunities and follows through with action-plans.
      • Organizes and manages legal institutional knowledge via the creation of a centralized knowledge management repository, and standardizing processes, policies, practices, nomenclature, and templates.
      • Promotes and supports the team's professional development by helping to facilitate professional development opportunities, such as courses, conferences, educational events, etc.
      • Supports and facilitates legal projects, as assigned. This may also include tracking resource allocation to assigned projects.
      • Identifies initiatives and projects and automates processes through effective system management to improve legal team efficiency, simplicity, speed and productivity, and better-informed decision-making.
      • Manages legal vendors to optimize efficiency and help to reduce overall spend.
      • Contributes to a culture of growth, development, collaboration, and accountability.
      • Fulfillment of administrative tasks and other ad-hoc requests in support of department needs, as assigned.


      EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

      • Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; or 5+ years of related experience and/or training. Work related experience should consist of a minimum of 5+ years operational experience in a financial institution operations, law firm operations, or project management background.
      • Accredited certification in project management and/or payments processing
      • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Legal Knowledge Platforms (e.g., West Law), Data Base management, and Project Management software.
      • Ability to understand and analyze large amounts of data and summarize findings.
      • Outstanding interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive manner in dealing with high value clients as well as team members.
      • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
      • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply good judgement to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly and concisely to customers and internal Team Members.
      • Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets, high stakes, and variables in non-standardized situations.
      • Operational experience/knowledge to successfully lead/guide payment operations or legal teams to maximum output while mitigating associated risks and delivering upon organizational key results.
