Work with internal clients (associates, counsel, partners) and cross-functional teams, to develop a deep understanding to deliver technology against our clients' expectations.
Build strong relationships within the firm to generate trust and be viewed as a "trusted advisor" and deliver at the pace of the client's needs.
Collaborate with practice groups, in conjunction with Knowledge & Innovation’s business relationship managers, in order to identify the future pipeline of work for the team.
Ensure the Knowledge & Innovation and IT teams are kept up to speed with LegalTech news and developments.
Co-ordinate and present technology product demonstrations as well as run technology related workshops and other events for internal and client audiences.
Focus on promoting the relevant use of our existing Legal Technology toolkit to our lawyers. This will require explaining solution benefits, metrics-driven adoption of those tools and providing tailored specialist guidance on those solutions. This will also require you to help provision and deliver configuration needed from existing solutions.
Where necessary, identify the needs for further integration, configuration, or further customization of existing solutions; and identify requirements for new solutions to provide to the IT and Knowledge & Innovation teams.
Maintain our legal technology toolkit use metrics to prioritize our efforts for adoption and identify challenges to be addressed in collaboration with the Technology Operations team.
Capture success stories with the use of legal technologies and share with the firm.
Evaluate new solutions to be added to our legal technology toolkit, assist with the introduction, deployment and communications while focusing on the overall legal service delivery process.
Identify and support several power users in key legal technology solutions to help us scale our delivery capabilities.
Work closely with our IT and Knowledge & Innovation teams when we are developing new solutions, provide feedback and advise on effective delivery needs to ensure it best meets our lawyers' requirements and delivers better experiences to our clients.
Promote the usage of our training materials available (and where necessary feedback on improvement opportunities).
Deliver tailored presentations and demos about our legal technology toolkit, including advanced specialist solutions (including artificial intelligence tools)
Keep abreast of local legal market trends, capture feedback on existing products and share with product management teams.
Identify process improvement opportunities and report findings about local emerging technology solutions so they can be considered as part of our innovation pipeline.
Special project and duties as assigned.
Advanced communication skills, including active listening, clear and concise writing, and professional speaking. Ability to adapt communication style as needed to address a variety of audiences. Able to influence and clearly articulate and explain legal technology solutions benefits in non-technical terms.
Strong relationship skills and an understanding of different ways of achieving outcomes, with business and IT teams, using both business and IT terminology.
Extensive stakeholder management skills and a cross-functional team player.
Strong problem solving and entrepreneurial skills to drive solutions to completion.
Good judgement and a skill in identification and prioritization of added value and strategic tasks.
4-6 years of experience introducing legal technology solutions in professional services firms.
B.A. required.
Ability to travel to as needed.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Moderate or advanced keyboard usage

The Legal Technology Manager must possess an in-depth understanding of legal service offerings, including significant knowledge of advanced legal software applications and working at the intersection of law and technology across various practice areas. This role must be passionate about digital transformation, including the use of Artificial Intelligence solutions while also leveraging data and analytics to aid in decision making.
This role will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our lawyers and client's needs, promoting to our lawyers the benefits of our relevant legal technology toolkit, how to best use it and where appropriate, how to configure or sometimes capture requirements for further customization. This role will be closely collaborating with cross-functional teams and may also have the opportunity to collaborate and work directly on matters with our lawyers and the clients' teams.

Physical Requirements
This position may be filled in New York. In accordance with the New York State Pay Transparency Law and the New York City Human Rights Law, the pay range for this position in New York State is $108,200 - $194,600/yr. and in New York City is $129,800 - $194,600/yr. These ranges are specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
