Job Description

Seeking candidates for a full time Librarian role to lead and oversee the complete operations of Library functions, with below required skills.

• Desire to meet and serve the library's user community
• Ability to make administrative decisions, interpret policies, and supervise staff
• Ability to motivate, establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, volunteers and other community agencies
• Ability to organize job duties and work independently
• Ability to develop new or revised systems, procedures, and work flow
• Creativity to develop and implement library programs and services
• Positive attitude toward library users
• Knowledge of computers, the internet, and commercially available library software
• Knowledge of the philosophy and techniques of library service
• Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and present ideas clearly and concisely with excellent written and oral communication
• Demonstrated knowledge of library materials and resources

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Library Science
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a Librarian with a corporate.
