What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate, license, and monitor assigned child care programs to ensure compliance with regulations
- Investigate complaints against illegally operating programs and licensed programs
- Draft documentation, reports, and comments related to licensing and compliance
- Provide technical assistance to individuals or groups involved in child care programs
- Enter updates in the Wisconsin Child Care Regulatory System (WISCCRS) and mobile applications

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience working with investigative techniques and strategies
- Professional experience in regulated child care or early care and education settings for children aged birth to eight years
- Experience writing complex reports, memos, and correspondence
- Experience interpreting and applying policy, state statutes, and administrative rules
- Ability to travel within the region as needed for fieldwork

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience preparing and testifying in court or administrative hearings
- Experience making home visits or business site visits in a regulatory capacity
- Familiarity with childcare-related automated systems such as CSAW, CARES, and WISCCRS
