What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate, license, and monitor child care programs for compliance with regulations
- Investigate complaints against illegally operating and licensed programs
- Provide technical assistance to individuals or groups involved in child care
- Draft documentation, reports, and comments related to licensing and compliance
- Enter updates in the Wisconsin Child Care Regulatory System (WISCCRS) and visit data in the licensing checklist mobile application

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience working with investigative techniques and strategies
- Professional experience in regulated child care or early education settings
- Experience writing complex and detailed reports and correspondences
- Experience interpreting and applying policy, state statutes, and administrative rules
- Ability to travel within the region and work in various locations as needed

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience preparing and testifying in court or administrative hearings
- Experience making home visits or business site visits in a regulatory capacity
- Familiarity with childcare-related automated systems (e.g., CSAW, CARES, WISCCRS)
