What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process highly complex claims to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Conduct correspondence related to client requests for information
- Validate claims by verifying policyholder information, effective dates, and eligibility
- Investigate claims and negotiate settlements while advising claimants of their status
- Research and respond to demand letters within established parameters

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Six or more years of insurance/claims processing experience
- Experience working with insurance and/or medical terminology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Fellowship of Life Health Claims (FLHC) Certification
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively interact with claimants
- Good human relations skills to provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff
