      About us


      Industrialization Propulsion Components is a section within Manufacturing Engineering. Together with our central resources, we develop and implement quality assured, flexible and effective production systems in the Propulsion Components shop, in the plant. The section is working cross functionally & project oriented, securing local industrialization of car programs.

      We are currently looking for two Local Area Leaders, one for Electric Drive Unit and one for Cell to Body. You will start your assignment in Gothenburg, collaborating with our central resources. You will eventually relocate to Slovakia and be part of the Local Industrialization team in Kosice.

      What you will do


      As a Local Area Leader, you will be a project leader and you will also lead a cross functional team that secures best process design possible by driving Manufacturing KPIs for an intended manufacturing plant within own commodity area. You will own and align global manufacturing processes and strategies within the car programs that share commonality with programs or platforms.

      As our Local Area Leader, you will also:

      • Plan and lead the team to achieve project time plans.
      • Represents ME as well as the plants, in supporting stakeholders.
      • Secure all Manufacturing deliveries from the team to the car programs.
      • Take actions on manufacturing related obstacle to achieve best process design and update status to Gateway/Milestone reports within area of responsibility up to Final Data Judgment.
      • Share best practice and knowledge and coach the team members.


      Do you fit the profile?


      You have a M.Sc. in Production or Mechanical Engineering or corresponding professional experience, such as Project Leader or similar. You have competence in Lean Process Design. Other attributes which we put value on are: Business acumen mind-set, a good interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as being enthusiastic and customer focused. We believe that you are engaged in your work and encourage people that you interact with. You have a strong willingness and ability to drive change and results. Ability to travel within and outside Europe is of big importance as this is part of the role. Willingness to work abroad and relocate to other countries.

      You need to be fluent in English, written and spoken due to our global organization set up.

      Specific competence important for the role:

      • Know how of process electric drive units – production of rotor, stator, inverter.
      • Experiences with assembly processes of electric drive units
      • Design of production lines – mechanical design, automation principles, integration of robot applications
      • Design of production lines with integrated welding technologies, EoL, E check stations.

      Salary for this position starts from 2.685 EUR, per month, brutto
