Job Description & Requirements
Respiratory Therapist – InpatientShift Options:Day Shift (AM):12-hour shifts, 36 hours/weekNight Shift (PM):12-hour shifts, 36 hours/weekPosition Summary:We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapists to join our inpatient team within a fast-paced Level I trauma facility. Ideal candidates will bring strong clinical expertise in critical care, including MICU and SICU, and will be confident in managing ventilators and participating in Code Blue responses. EPIC proficiency is required for both roles.Key Responsibilities:Deliver advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients in MICU and SICU settingsIndependently assess patients and adjust ventilator settings based on clinical presentation and lab valuesActively participate on the Code Blue teamUtilize lung protective ventilation strategiesPreferred: Provide support to Level III NICU as neededOperate and manage Dräger XL and V500 ventilatorsRequired Experience & Skills:Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level I trauma facilityRecent experience in both MICU and SICU critical care settingsMust have EPIC experienceStrong understanding of lung protective ventilation strategiesDemonstrated ability to make independent ventilator decisionsCode Blue response participationPreferred Experience:Experience in a Level III NICUFamiliarity with Dräger XL and V500 ventilatorsRequired Certifications & Licensure:RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)Massachusetts Respiratory Care LicenseBLS (Basic Life Support)Preferred Certifications:NPS (Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist)ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist)
