Job Description

- Responsible to provide logistics coordinator support services for COM personnel twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days a week.
- Coordinate track and meet/greet all Chief of Mission passengers arriving/departing at BDSC and BIAP. The contractor must able to explain all policies and procedures and security procedures clearly and completely.
- Perform liaison work with military personnel, DOS, PAE, USAID and IRAQ Support Unit and other clients (including Coalition Forces) to ensure that all COM passengers are assisted from BIAP to BDSC, or BIAP to Amman, or BDSC to EHP (Embassy Compound), or BDSC/BIAP to Erbil or Basrah, or to other designated locations.
- Work with the security company on expediting and baggage services at BIAP commercial terminal; MILAIR PAX terminal; and billeting at Sully Compound. Work requirements include, but not limited to, supporting travelers on helicopters and MILAIR flights and providing special arrangements for emergency travel.
- Perform the following functions in the Sully Compound area, whether in housing units or alternate living facilities:
- Complete cleaning of housing units.
- Cleaning services to include, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and cleaning toilets. All supplies and equipment will be provided by the U.S. Government.
- Changing linens, towels and beddings in all trailers, to include laundering towels, linens and blankets.
- Provide general logistics coordinator support services, i.e., supplying hot water, coffee, and tea in the billeting/front desk area. All supplies will be provided by the U.S. Government.
- Prepare and monitor work orders and purchase orders supporting operations and customer services.
- Organize and provide shuttle service to and from commercial airline terminal (Baghdad International Airport (BIAP)), billeting/front desk operations, Embassy Air (EA-1) passenger terminal, Taylor Store, Cafeteria, and other service locations as required within BDSC.
- Meet/greet passengers traveling via shuttle vans (and armored buses/Rhinos if required) to/from Embassy and BIAP (limited requirement).
- Provide (and track/record) the full range of services required by VIP guests, to include but not limited to, providing PPE gear to visiting COM staff, USAID, federal affiliate employees and guests, scheduling and arranging tour(s) of BDSC and/or DOS transit facility, drive Very Important Persons (VIPs) to appointments, and providing sleeping accommodations.
- Incumbent must exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive personnel issues. Also, the incumbent shall understand protocol when dealing with key personnel at the Embassy in order to facilitate time-sensitive issues.

- Become knowledgeable of BDSC operations and key personnel to include both commercial and cargo terminals.
- Coordinate daily reservation schedules to ensure availability of transit lodging to avoid double-booking, overbooking, and alert the COR and/or GSO to possible transit lodging conflicts.
- Coordinate with the cargo services contractors at BIAP for the tracking, organizing, pick-up, delivery, storage, movement and shipment of incoming/outgoing cargo via Embassy Air (EA-I) flights.
- Assist the General Service Office (GSO) with shipping and customs requirements for Chief of Missions Baghdad Embassy cargo, including Consulates Erbil and Basrah.
- Coordinate with GSO, PAE, OSC and ISU to facilitate incoming and departing shipments on the EA-I passenger routes to ISU Amman.
- Monitor and report to the OMSS, COR or ACOR, on PAE maintenance contract support to ensure Sully’s operations and maintenance is provided according to PAE contracts.
- Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance for all Sully Compound vehicles, to include but not limited to, vehicle inspection, checkup, and correction of any problems associated with vehicle performance by Sully motor pool fleet. All vehicle parts and lubricants will be provided by the U.S. Government.
- Maintain inventory of USG-owned property, e.g. office and residential furniture, office equipment and supplies, bedding/linens, TVs, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), etc.).
- Escort all non-CAC card holders, i.e., COM, USAID, federal affiliate employees and guests, to the BDSC PAX terminal, DFAC and MWR areas if required.
- Maintain the upkeep/cleanliness (maintenance) of the Sully Compound grounds, to include requesting maintenance for plumbing and HVAC repairs and all electrical connectivity.
- Ensure that Sully Compound maintains adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all travelers, including packing/shipping PPE to ISU Amman as required. Maintain and track inventory of PPE in residences, storage rooms and Sully vehicles – report differences in actual counts and the inventory lists.
- Ensure timely manifesting of personnel on helicopters.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with discretion both orally and in writing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in logistics management or related field.
- Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with other team members
- Exhibit excellent oral and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated proficiency in Inventory/Property accountability procedures
- Secret or Interim Clearance Required
- Must possess a current Valid United States Driver’s License
- Must have an active Secret Clearance
- Ability to operate a 10,000-25,000 pound forklift
- Operate a 25-passenger bus
The Logistics Coordinator will support the Department of State (DOS) with logistical support services for personnel and cargo arriving and departing Iraq. The DOS has a requirement to provide these services at the Sully Compound, at Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC), Iraq, and with movement in and out of Baghdad International Airport (BIAP).
Payrate: $27.42 Hourly
