Job Description

- PRN associates are not eligible for Paid Time Off or health benefits; however, they may contribute to the TSA plan offered by the Village per the current provisions of the TSA plan.
- Nursing Pool associates must work a minimum of two (2) shifts per month. At least one (1) of these shifts must include a weekend shift (weekend shift is defined as beginning Saturday at 7:00a and ending at 7:00a on Monday). Additionally, Nursing Pool associates will be scheduled to work at least three (3) of the six (6) holidays, as defined by JKV Associate Policy #327, per calendar year. Failure to meet this minimum requirement may jeopardize the PRN status and result in separation of employment. Additional hours are usually available upon request. Scheduled switch shift agreements will not count as meeting the minimum shift requirement.
- Nursing Pool associates must use UKG to choose their preferred work shifts (hours/days) for the upcoming month by the 20th of the prior month, but no later than the 1st day of that month. (Example: by Dec 20th for January, but no later than January 1st).
- Must sign up to work the shift in its entirety (7a-7p OR 7p-7a). Partial shifts may be available after required shifts have been completed.
- Nursing Pool associates must work where assigned throughout the care center.
- Failure to be compliant with the guidelines in any 3 months within a 12-month rolling calendar may result in separation of employment.

Eligible for $5.00/hour PRN Shift Differential for All Hours Worked
The licensed practical nurse performs selected acts for the promotion of health and in the care of persons who are ill, injured, or experiencing alterations in the normal health processes. Such performance requires substantial specialized skill, knowledge and judgment. All such nursing care shall be given under the direction of a registered nurse. Graduate of an accredited School of nursing Licensed practical nurse in the state of Missouri. Must have excellent social, organizational, and problem solving skills Essential aptitudes include: spatial, clerical and form perception, color discrimination, motor coordination, finger dexterity, manual dexterity, and eye/ hand/foot coordination. Must have ability to follow instructions Must have excellent time management skills Must have multitasking and problem solving abilities Required to work on all nursing communities in the Village Care Center.
