Job Profile ( Location – Toronto, Hybrid) :

We are currently hiring two Associates for our M&A Corporate Development team. As an associate, you will work with and report to the Associate Director, Corporate Development who leads banker-led opportunities for CORA Group. You will have an opportunity to drive all stages of the M&A process, including:

• Building meaningful relationships with investment bankers and operators in various software verticals
• Identify, connect, and maintain contact with identified businesses
• Grow our prospect database by identifying mid-market software businesses meeting our acquisition criteria
• Initiate a steady volume of outbound prospecting calls, email, and social media communication
• Track activity and maintain clear records in Salesforce.com and report regularly on KPIs
• Use Marketing and CRM data to build relationships with CEOs / Presidents/ Founders
• Follow up on outbound and inbound prospect activities in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years prior experience in software or related sales or Corporate Development an asset
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Able to effectively communicate key information to all audiences
• Knowledge of software industry considered an asset
• Meets and drives to exceed agreed upon KPIs and other critical metrics
• A degree in Finance/Fin Math/a BBA and/or experience related to software sales and M&A are all assets
• Previous placements at the Big 5, IB’s, or PE/Boutiques considered an asset
